ETHICS, A DUTY
The concepts of social and environmental responsibility have always been present in the actions of Pibor ISO SA.
In December 2015, Pibor ISO SA was awarded the RJC COP certification, "Responsible Jewellery Council - Code of Practice". The RJC is an international non-profit organization created to promote responsible ethical, social and environmental practices that respect human rights throughout the supply chain for gold and platinum, precious metals that are mined around the world.
In March 2016, Pibor ISO SA received the RJC CoC (chain of custody) certification. This standard is based on and complements the Code of Practice and is voluntary for YCR members. The CoC standard specifies the requirements for creating a chain of custody for precious metals that are responsibly supplied, produced, processed and sold.
Pibor ISO SA also ensures that it complies with all "Reach" standards.
As part of its environmental commitment, Pibor ISO SA has been implementing a policy to reduce its impact for more than 20 years. We use professionals to advise us.
On several occasions we have carried out major renovation work on our buildings and facilities in order to reduce our consumption of heating, water and electricity. (Discontinuation of fuel oil, building insulation, heat recovery, cooling our facilities with a water source, replacing our lighting with low consumption systems, etc.)
In 2000, we acquired a hydroelectric power plant equipped with two turbines to produce green energy.
From a social perspective, Pibor ISO SA has signed a collective labour agreement which began in 1992 with the FTMH and is currently being pursued with our trade union partner Syna. It is essential for us to guarantee and offer our employees optimal benefits.
In addition, Pibor ISO SA is an active training company.
Support for local companies in the cultural or sports fields has also always been a management policy, regardless of the economic situation.
