An independent family company founded in 1952 in Glovelier, in the heart of the Jura in the Watch Valley, Pibor currently employs around 145 people on an area of 8,500 m2. With vertical manufacturing covering more than forty professions, all dedicated to the design and manufacture of watch case finishings, jewellery and microengineering components. Today Pibor ranks among the global leaders in its field.
Over seventy years of research, studies and development have given Pibor engineers all the knowledge and know-how to support designers and creators in projects that shape universal trends and fashions. Continual investment in new machines and technologies has enabled us to achieve a highly verticalised production line. This enables us to perfectly control our processes and satisfy the requirements of our customers.

From 1952 to the present day....

Creation of Pibor SA by Pierre Bourquard at the age of 22. Start of activity in Boécourt, manufacture of clasps and spring bars, crowns as well as the installation of an electroplating facility. Travel around the world to find markets.
4 people worked at the company.

New facility in Glovelier. 1st study on vulcanization, 80 people work there. Diversification of our activities into rubber, O-ring seals and bracelets.

In order to expand our Swiss and international markets, the decision was made to participate in the Baselworld International Trade Fair for the first time. Pibor cotinued to exhibit there until 2002, when it began exhibiting at the EPHJ.
Separation of activities and creation of Biwi SA in 1978.

A new generation, a major milestone for Pibor, the 2nd generation, namely the son Jean-Pierre Bourquard, becomes the Managing Director. A change of strategy, client segmentation and the search for a customer mix and new products. Pibor becomes one of the world leaders in crowns and pushers. Pibor employs more than 140 staff.

Implementation of enterprise resource planning (ERP) and an efficient management system at the company. Intensive verticalisation of our production resources. Awarded ISO 9001 certification.

The 3rd generation takes over the management of the company. Cédric and Jérôme Bourquard give a new lease of life to this family business. The search for new horizons and diversification is at the heart of company policy. A first-rate management team and human know-how are Pibor's strengths. Complexity, reliability, responsiveness are the keywords in our daily work.

3 generations have succeeded one another in order to perpetuate the family business created in 1952. It is a story full of emotions, successes, crises and continuous improvements.
The life of Pibor could never have continued without the help and support of all our employees.
